2017 Yamaha V-Ixion (Facelift) Rendered

A naked 150 cc motorcycle which is sold in its present form since 2013.

The Yamaha V-Ixion is a rival to the likes of the Honda CB150R and the recently unveiled Suzuki GSX-S150. Yamaha Indonesia is reported to be working on an update to stay on equal grounds with the competition. Indonesian blog IwanBanaran has posted renderings of the speculated motorcycle.

The Yamaha V-Ixion rendering envisions the bike with premium upside down front forks and a tail section inspired from the Yamaha R15 v2.0.

The current model packs a 149.8 cc SOHC, liquid cooled, fuel injected mill coupled to a 5 speed gearbox, capable of producing 16.6 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 14.5 Nm of peak torque. It shares the engine with the Yamaha Xabre, which is a slightly premium naked 150 cc motorcycle also sold in Indonesia.

The rendering envisions the 2017 Yamaha V-Ixion with a slightly toned down design philosophy. The bike is shown to be suspended over upside down forks up front, which is expected to increase the cost. Yamaha has been able to keep the weight under check very efficiently in the Yamaha V-Ixion, and that’s something which they will likely replicate with the facelift model.

The Yamaha V-Ixion Advance recently gained a special edition variant with several add-ons including a nifty little USB charger on the handlebar.
