Having seen some spyshots of the 2014 Tata Vista that have emerged on the web recently, our rendering artist Shoeb Kalania went to work. He's sketched the front and rear of the facelifted Vista with the speculated changes. Note that Shoeb has not seen the car, and this rendering may not be accurate.

The front-end is updated with new headlights, bumper and grille.

After having it on the market for five years, Tata Motors has planned an extensive facelift for the Vista hatchback. Prototypes were spied in Coimbatore and Pune, and testers have kept the car tightly camouflaged all this time. A major update to the Vista was presented in mid-2011, endowing the car with the Manza's grille, bumper and headlights. A more powerful variant (Tata Vista D90) was launched in January this year which introduced an integrated touchscreen, climate control and a full body kit. These variants show that Tata has regularly intervened and updated the Vista.

The 2014 Vista is anticipated with a complete list of cosmetic updates such as a revised front fascia with the grille of the Manza Hybrid concept, new headlamps and a reskinned bumper. At the back, the taillights would be redesigned and repositioned on either side of the registration plate enclosure, which in turn moves up to the hatch.

The rear is comprehensively redesigned with a new position for the registration plate enclosure and Volkswagen-style stoplights.

We aren't very excited about the changes under the bonnet as at best, the new engine choice could be the 1.4-liter CR4 motor (from the Indica ev2 and the Indigo eCS). If this motor is unused, the current range of engines (1.3L diesel, 1.2L petrol, 1.4L TDI) would press on.

We expect Tata Motors to present the Vista facelift at the Auto Expo in February 2014.
