The 2014 Tata Vista facelift has been spotted testing once again. These images come from Indian Autos Blog reader, Kishor Gavhane, who snapped this camouflaged prototype in Pune, Maharashtra.

Tata has done a good job in wrapping up this prototype. Changes are hardly visible.

Tata has done well to wrap this test mule nicely such that it does not give away any of its design changes. However, we notice that the taillights on this prototype are decoy elements, suggesting that Tata could alter their design. Maybe the 2014 Vista could even see it change from the traditional X-Mas tree-like layout to a standard stoplamp mounted at the mid-tailgate level.

These images also suggest that the number plate will be housed on the bootlid instead of the bumper. There could be serious design changes to the rear in that case.

Present engine lineup is expected to continue, BS3 diesel could get upgraded to BS4.

The Vista facelift is expected to continue with its current engine lineup which includes the Fiat-sourced 1.2-liter FIRE petrol and 1.3-liter Multijet diesel. This 1.3L diesel is available in two states of tune of 75PS and 90PS. A BS3 1.4-liter TDI diesel is also on sale and we would expect Tata to upgrade this to a more modern CR4 engine which is BS4 compliant and has registered record fuel efficiency on the other carlines.

The taillights are a decoy in this mule.

Tata Motors recently announced their 'Horizonext' strategy, according to which product refreshes would be introduced in regular intervals. We expect to hear more about the Vista facelift in the following months and we certainly hope to see it launch at the 2014 Auto Expo in February, exactly 6 years after its debut.
