As seen in the concept, the production-spec model will feature the new “Flying H” grille design flanked by optional LED headlamps and an updated lower fascia design. The rear-end will gets a redesigned set of tail-lamps and a shapely rear end, similar to the Civic Concept.

The next iteration will be based on a shortened version of the current Accord’s platform say reports, and will be slightly longer than the outgoing model. So far, details on the changes inside are scarce; however, do expect it to be a step above the current model in design, features and quality.

The engine lineup will include a new 1.5-liter “Earth Dreams VTEC Turbo” with direct injection. Transmission option is a choice between a short-shifting 6-speed manual transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). The Civic may also introduce safety features such as Lane Departure Warning, Multi-Angle rear view camera and Adaptive cruise control.

Honda Cars India discontinued the Civic after the eighth generation since it lacked a diesel option as well as the shrinking demand for D-Segment sedans. At the moment, there is no confirmation on whether the Civic will be re-introduced in the country, in its tenth generation.
