2016 Honda Civic launched in Brazil, priced from R$ 87,900 - Report

Deliveries to commence from August 25.

Honda Brazil has launched the tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic in Brazil. It is available five variants, and priced between R$ 87,900-124,900 (INR 18.13 lakhs to INR 25.76 lakhs). Deliveries are to commence from August 25 in the South American market.

Compared to the outgoing model, the exterior of the 2016 Honda Civic gets an all-new design that is more premium and dynamic than the outgoing model. Up front, it features an upright nose with a bold “Flying H grille” flanked by optional LED headlamps, sportier lower bumper looks with black accents, sloping roofline with new C-Pillar design. The rear-end features new LED “boomerang” taillamps, sportier bumper, a sizeable spoiler (only in RS variant) and new sculpted features.

Inside, the new Civic features a conventional single dashboard finished in all black with silver highlights. The instrument binnacle houses a large display for the tachometer, digital speedometer, and fuel efficiency data. The center console has a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

For Sport, EX and EXL, the new Civic is equipped with a 2.0 Flex-Fuel i-VTEC engine with 150 hp (petrol)/155 hp (ethanol), which can be spec'd with a 6-speed manual or CVT. The 1.5 i-VTEC Turbo engine will be offered in the Touring variant, which produces 173 hp at 5,500 rpm, paired to a CVT only.

According to reports, Honda Cars India is considering the 2016 Civic for India.
