2017 Honda Civic Sedan showcased at IAA 2017 - Live

Honda is showcasing the 2017 Honda Civic Sedan at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The latest Civic Sedan is already on sale in Europe.

The tenth generation Honda Civic Sedan is built on an all-new modular platform that underpins even bigger models like the Honda CR-V and Honda Accord. The Euro-spec version is 4,648 mm long, 1,799 mm wide and 1,416 mm tall. Its wheelbase spans a length of 2,698 mm. There's 519 litres of boot space in the compact sedan.

The 2017 Honda Civic Sedan features a stylish and sporty exterior with features like LED headlights, LED DRL, 17-inch alloy wheels, C-shaped LED tail lights and a panoramic sunroof. Inside, the C-segment sedan has full leather upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control system, wireless smartphone charging pad, 7-inch driver information display, 7-inch Honda Connect touchscreen infotainment system with Garmin navigation and 452-watt, 10-speaker sound system.

On the safety front, the 2017 Honda Civic Sedan's highlight is the Honda Sensing suite of active safety and driver assist technologies. The long list of these technologies includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, Intelligent Speed Assistance and Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control. Honda Sensing is standard on all grades.

The 2017 Honda Civic Sedan is available only with the 1.5-litre VTEC Turbo engine. The turbocharged four-cylinder petrol mill produces 182 PS and 240 Nm of torque. It is paired to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. From March 2018, Honda will offer the new 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine that produces 120 PS and 300 Nm of torque also. In mid-2018, a 9-speed automatic transmission option will follow.

The Euro-spec 2017 Honda Civic Sedan is made in Gebze, Turkey. Its prices start at €19,990 in Germany.
