The 2018 Dacia Duster (2018 Renault Duster) is officially out now. Dacia has announced that it will unveil the all-new Dacia Duster at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show on 12 September, 2017.

With the lifecycle makeover, the Dacia Duster (Renault Duster) has entered its second generation now.

With the lifecycle makeover, the Dacia Duster (Renault Duster) has entered its second generation now. The all-new Duster features an evolutionary design, but looks a lot more more contemporary with the sharper and sportier front fascia. Sleeker, tri-section headlamps with integrated LED DRLs flank a redesigned radiator grille with chrome inserts, and prominent skid plates emphasise the Duster's off-road oriented character. At the same time, smooth crease lines on the bonnet give a modern appeal to the SUV's front.

At the sides, the higher belt line and large wheel arches give an imposing look to the all-new Dacia Duster. 17-inch wheels, black wheel arch trims and new aluminium roof bars are some of the talking points here. From this angle, it is evident that the proportions have remained largely unchanged. One thing worth noting, though, is the more raked windscreen, thanks to a 100 mm extension. Not only does it make the SUV look sportier from the outside, but also makes the cabin look a lot longer.

The rear of the Dacia Duster is also not as extensively changed as the front. Like the headlamps, the tail lamps are also pushed out to the very edge, making the SUV look wider. Speaking of tail lamps, they are now in a squarish shape, quite reminiscent of the Jeep Renegade's. The skid plate is wider now, adding more substance to the adventure styling.

Specifications of the all-new Dacia Duster are still not out yet, but the 4WD badge on the fenders confirm the availability of a 4x4 system. The base models should front-wheel drive drivetrain layout. Engine options as small as 1.2-litre and as big as 2.0-litre in displacement are likely to form the range. The 1.2-litre TCe petrol mill from the outgoing model should continue, while a 1.6-litre dCi diesel engine is said to replace the 1.5-litre dCi unit.

The 2018 Dacia Duster should go up for pre-orders in Europe later this year.
