2018 Dacia Duster (Renault Duster) to go on sale in the UK in Spring 2018 - Report
Will arrive in India in 2019.
After the runaway success of the first generation Dacia Duster, Renault's low-cost brand is putting the finishing touches on the second generation Dacia Duster that will debut this year. According to a report from Car Magazine, the 2018 Dacia (Renault) Duster will go on sale in the UK in spring 2018 (March-May 2018), manufactured in Romania.
Spy media confirms the 2018 Renault Duster sporting an evolutionary design, retaining its traditional boxy looks with largely unchanged proportions. The Duster is the Renault Group's best-selling model after the Clio and Logan globally, and it is understandable why the designers didn't tinker with its design.
On the inside, quality and ergonomics are expected to improve with the redesign. While satellite navigation is a given, the new infotainment system should have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility.
While initial reports claimed CMF-B underpinnings for the next-gen Renault Duster, we ask why the Duster would switch to the more advanced platform that would dissolve it of its core selling point - value-for-money, as the new platform, due to the materials and technologies, would increase the price considerably. The B0/Logan platform has proved itself in the robust low-cost SUV.
The Renault Duster is offered with a variety of engines depending on the market, and from them, the newest addition, the 1.2-litre TCe petrol, should continue in Europe. In India, the recently introduced H4K 1.5-litre petrol engine is a given. Reports say that the 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine is to get replaced by a more efficient 1.6-litre dCi diesel engine, but it's to be understood if Renault India will offer this option. Transmission choices should include 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, 6-speed Efficient Dual-Clutch automatic and 6-speed automatic.

The next-gen Renault Duster will debut originally as a Dacia model in Europe this year, likely at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2017) in September. It will reportedly arrive in India in 2019.
