India-bound 2019 Honda Civic new pics & details released
As we previously reported, Honda has refreshed the Civic with a handful of styling updates, new standard features, and new Sport trim. The facelift for the tenth-generation Civic is the model that will launch in India early next year. Today, Honda has released new images and prices of the 2019 Honda Civic in its debut market of the USA.
On the outside, the 2019 Honda Civic features smoked headlamps, a gloss black 'wing' element on the grille (the pre-facelift version had a chrome 'wing'), new chrome accents on the updated front bumper, chrome accent on the rear bumper, and a full-width spitter on the front bumper. The new model is available in three new exterior paint options - Platinum White Pearl, Molten Lava Pearl (Sedan only), and Tonic Yellow Pearl (Coupe only).
The interior features an updated 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Honda Sensing Technology, which includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with forward collision warning, Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Adaptive Cruise Control, is now standard across all the trims. That said, these features are unlikely to make it to the India-spec model.
Other new bits on the inside include redesigned steering wheel controls for more intuitive operation, as well as a new centre console cupholder. As per Honda, an additional sound-deadening material has been added to floor, trunk, and front fenders, and rear fenders.
The LX and Sport trim of the USA-spec new Civic sedan feature a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 158 hp and 187 Nm. The motor comes mated to either six-speed manual transmission or CVT. The EX, EX-L, and Touring trims are powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that outputs 174 hp and 219 Nm. These models are available with a CVT only. Prices of the 2019 Honda Civic range starts from $20,345 (INR 14,79,284.95).

The petrol motor will offer 141 PS of maximum power and 174 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated to a CVT. The company could provide the petrol engine variant with a CVT and the diesel engine with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional ZF-sourced 9-speed automatic transmission.
