2020 Renault Duster (facelift) reaches dealerships, launch on July 8

The 2020 Renault Duster (facelift) has been spotted on several occasions in the past. In fact, it was even teased officially a few days back. Now, in a new development, the SUV has started arriving at the dealerships ahead of its launch on July 8.

The 2020 Renault Duster (facelift) features a revised front fascia that brings its styling in line with that of the second-gen model.

It will be the second facelift for the India-spec first-gen Duster, which has been on sale in the country since 2012. As per the available details, the facelift will feature projector headlights and a bolder chrome-embellished grille at the front. Apart from this, exterior revisions will include a reworked hood and a higher set bonnet line to help the Duster meet the stringent pedestrian safety norms. Other new bits include a redesigned front bumper, mock skid plates at both ends, newly designed alloy wheels and plastic cladding on the tailgate. The 2020 Renault Duster will be even available in a new shade of blue.

On the inside, the 2020 Renault Duster (facelift) will have some minor revisions in the form of a new steering wheel with faux aluminium accents, rectangular AC vents which replace the circular units, and a new Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-enabled infotainment system.

Under the hood, the 2020 Renault Duster (facelift) will feature the current model's 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The former comes paired with 5-speed MT/CVT, while the latter is linked to 6-speed MT/6-speed AMT. Also, as per the latest reports, Renault may consider pulling the plug on the 1.5-litre oil-burner once the BSVI emission norms set in next year. That said, since the company is also trying a cheaper way to upgrade this diesel unit to the BS6 standards, its fate totally depends upon the company's ability to implement the cost-effective Lean NOx Trap for achieving BSVI compliance.

The facelifted Renault Duster will continue to deploy the currently seen 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines.
