2020 Tata Nexon (facelift) in production body spied up close again

The Tata Nexon is all set to receive a mid-cycle makeover and the same has been spied yet again wearing camouflage on its production body. This is going to be the first major update for the Nexon since its introduction in September 2017. The latest shots perhaps provide the clearest view of the facelifted Tata Nexon's front.

The Tata Nexon will receive a bolder, more imposing front-end with the upcoming facelift. In details, it now features new, angular headlamps packing projector lens and LED DRLs. Furthermore, it sports an edgier look on its upper and lower grille, along with the bumper and fog lamps. At the back, Tata Motors has restricted any prominent alteration which may change its rear profile. It still boasts the same sharp looking tail lamps, tailgate and rear bumper.

As for the cabin, the 2020 Tata Nexon has already been snapped earlier sporting a new steering wheel and cruise control. Apart from this, new in the feature list will be rain-sensing wipers. In terms of mechanicals, it will make use of BS-VI compatible 1.2L Revotron petrol and 1.5L Revotorq diesel units. Also, Tata Motors is developing a pure electric variant of the same which was recently shown being tested in the challenging terrain around Manali and Leh stretch. The Nexon EV is expected to be displayed at Auto Expo 2020.

The Tata Nexon locks horns with other B-SUVs in the segment including the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the Mahindra XUV300. The same is expected for early-2020 launch and with the facelift it is bound to get costlier by around INR 50,000. It is currently priced at INR 6.58 lakh* for its base XE variant, and the prices extend up to INR 9.59 lakh* for its top-spec XZ+ with dual-tone roof.
