Tata Motors unveiled an all-black Tata Harrier at its Annual General Meeting this year. It will launch this dark-themed flagship SUV in India next month. Apparently, there's a lot on the styling front the company can do because of the model's outlandish design.

The regular Tata Harrier is available in Calisto Copper, Thermisto Gold, Ariel Silver, Telesto Grey and Orcus White colours. A dual-tone scheme is offered on selecting Calisto Copper or Orcus White.

The all-black theme makes the Tata Harrier way more aggressive than in the standard variant. It perfectly complements the outlandish front fascia and the strong proportions of the C-SUV. The all-black Tata Harrier sports a glossy-black paint, blacked-out 17-inch alloy wheels, ORVMs and skid plates. The chrome finish on the window line remains untouched. Mimicking the exterior, the cabin gets an all-black theme. The brown upholstery seen on the regular Harrier is replaced by a black one, while the faux-wood panel on the dashboard has been replaced with a textured matte-grey panel.

Tata Motors recently rolled out various updates to enhance the driving experience of the Harrier. Also, to celebrate the 10,000 sales milestone, the company launched dual-tone colour schemes. Moreover, it has introduced sunroof as an accessory. Now, it is working on upgrading the SUV to BS-VI and introducing 170 PS 2.0L diesel engine and 6-speed automatic transmission options. The company might offer 18-inch alloy wheels also in the future, perhaps in the configurations powered by the 170 PS engine.

The launch of the MG Hector and the Kia Seltos arriving next month should have an effect on the Tata Harrier's sales. The MG Hector is already sold-out for 2019 with 21,000 bookings in just 45 days, while the Kia Seltos has shown similar progress with 6,000 pre-bookings recorded in just one day.
