AMT option ruled out for the Tata Tiago NRG
The Tata Tiago NRG launched yesterday is available with a 5-speed manual transmission. An automatic option isn’t arriving even later.
Mayank Pareek, President, President of Tata Motors (PV unit) at the launch told IAB that with AMT, “the price becomes too high.”
The NRG variant is made in a single fully-equipped grade. It’s packed with features like a cooled glovebox, central locking with flip key remote, height adjustable driver seat, front fog lamps, 8-speaker sound system, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and CSC, reverse parking sensors, rear wiper and more.
On the outside, the Tata Tiago NRG gets its tough looks from black cladding all around the lower body, faux skid plates, squircle wheel arches, muscular finisher on the tailgate and integrated black roof rails. Other highlights include 14-inch dual-tone DurAlloy wheels, black roof, orange interior highlights, denim-inspired fabric upholstery with contrast orange stitch pattern and 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The latter is unavailable in the standard variant.
