BMW G310R vs KTM Duke 390 vs other rivals - Comparo

The BMW G310R that was unveiled recently will rival various motorcycles that are present in its engine displacement category and its price range, some of which are the KTM Duke 390, the Yamaha YZF R3, the Honda CBR250R, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the Mahindra Mojo.

Judging from the technical specifications, the BMW G310R will be more of a Honda CBR250R and a Mahindra Mojo competitor, but its price is expected to be close to the other products in this comparison that are substantially more powerful.

The BMW G310R is expected to be priced at INR 2.5 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The BMW G310R is powered by a 313 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled FI engine that produces 34.4 PS at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm at 7,500 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike's kerb weight is 158.5 kg, and its power-to-weight ratio is 217 PS/tonne which is close to the average of all the bikes' in the table. The model has a short wheelbase (1,374 mm), a short saddle height (785 mm), the smallest fuel tank (11 litres), modest tyres (Michelin Pilot Street - Radial), inverted telescopic fork and sizable disc brakes (300 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear) which are governed by ABS.

The KTM Duke 390 is the most powerful offering in this comparison.

The KTM Duke 390 is the most powerful product in this comparison and has the highest value-for-money quotient, while the Honda CBR250R is the least powerful motorcycle followed by the Mahindra Mojo. However, the last two are the most affordable models in the comparo.
