First among the five new Maruti products planned for the Indian market will be the 2018 Maruti Ertiga.

This information was shared by R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director- Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, reports Business Standard. The publication, however, does not specify which new models are part of the five.

As per previous reports, all-new new products planned for the current fiscal year include the 2018 Maruti Ertiga, an Ertiga-based crossover derivative, and the new generation Maruti Wagon R. A 7-seat version of the Wagon R is also in the pipeline. As far as updates of the existing models are concerned, the Ciaz is due in August.

In 2019-20, the next-gen Maruti Alto will touch down. A crossover-like rival to the Renault Kwid previewed by the Maruti Future-S concept is under development, based off the new Alto platform. The Suzuki Vitara has been spotted testing on Indian roads and it could arrive as a rival to the Hyundai Creta in 2019. By this time, mid-cycle changes for the Baleno and the Vitara Brezza would have reached the production line. Maruti is also reported to be planning a revamp for the Celerio (codename: Maruti YNC) this decade.
