Buyers can select from physical Pre-Delivery Inspection or electronic Pre-Delivery Inspection of his vehicle before the delivery to his preferred location. The delivery service is available through Hero MotoCorp’s e-commerce portal, www.HGPmart.com.

Below are the steps to avail the service:

  • Select preferred product and choose a dealer to make the booking payment via www.HGPmart.com
  • Hero’s third-party service provider will collect necessary documents and payment from the location and time selected by the customer
  • The vehicle will be delivered post the registration with the local road transport office

The service is currently available in Mumbai, Noida and Bangalore. Hero MotoCorp plans to expand the service to 25 cities. Introducing the initiative ahead of the festive season should give Hero MotoCorp an advantage during the high-demand period.

Hero MotoCorp registered a 21.18% decline in year-on-year numbers in July 2019. The company reported 5,35,810 unit sales in July 2019, as against 6,79,862 units in the corresponding month last year.

Speaking about the initiative, Sanjay Bhan, Head of Sales, Aftersales & Parts Business, Hero MotoCorp, said:

Our new initiative will raise the bar for customer experience in the two-wheeler category. As the youth of today increasingly look for value-added services in every purchase that they make, brands have to step-up their strategic thinking to stay ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving market environment... We have been the first-mover in the e-commerce space and we are continuing this trend by commencing this new service. The motorcycle or scooter can be delivered at any address of your choice, not just at your home.

The new initiative aims to enhance the buying experience and thus boosting sales.
