Hero MotoCorp sells a record 7,20,739 two-wheelers in September
Hero MotoCorp has sold 7,20,739 units of two-wheelers in September. In doing so, it is the only company to surpass the seven lakh domestic sales mark in any month.
Hero MotoCorp has registered a growth of 6.78 percent when compared to the same month in the previous year. The company had sold 6,74,961 units in September 2016. The company has also set an record of selling 1 million units in domestic retail sales in the festive season so far. The Indian company’s recent festive offers can be attributed as one of the reasons that have helped reinforce its market performance. The company recently achieved 75 million cumulative unit sales mark. Commenting on Hero MotoCorp’s performance, Mr Ashok Bhasin, Head of Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Hero MotoCorp, said:
With close to three weeks still remaining in the festival season, we have set an all-time record by selling over a million motorcycles and scooters in domestic retail sales in the festive period so far, further consolidating our market leadership.

The company is planning to launch a 125cc scooter with retro styling in a bid to capture that segment. In the motorcycle department, Hero will be launching an all-new 200cc motorcycle this financial year. By late 2018, the Indian brand will launch a 200cc off-roader as well. The company is also working on electric vehicles to capitalise on the promising segment.
