Hero Passion Pro given an engine upgrade; gets two new colours - IAB Report

Gets a power output increase of 0.5 PS.

The Hero Passion Pro has been given an engine update and launched at INR 50,057 (ex-showroom, Mumbai), INR 49,250 (ex-showroom, Chennai), and INR 49,450 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).

The new version of the bike gets a 97.2 cc APDV engine that makes 8.36 PS at 8,000 RPM
and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm at 5,000 rpm (up from 7.8 PS @ 7,500 rpm and 8.04 Nm @ 4,500 rpm). Hero has also improved the bike's fuel tank, giving it a flush type fuel tank cap and the capacity has also been increased to 13.5 litres.

The upgrade to the Hero Passion Pro gives it a disc brake, making it one of the few bikes in the segment with the feature.

The 2015 Hero Passion Pro gets a 240 mm disc brake at the front, making it one of the few bikes in the segment to sport a disc brake. A new tail light design and clear indicators add to the upgrade.

In terms of the other changes, the bike gets power start, front side cowl, and a digital-analog combination meter as part of the instrument cluster. The Passion Pro facelift is available now in eight colours. Along with the existing six - Black Sports Red, Black Heavy Grey, Black Frost Blue, Sports Red, Force Silver, and Bronze yellow, there are two new colors for the facelift - Matte Brown and Majestic White.
