Upgraded Hero Pleasure with IBS and Pleasure Special Edition showcased

Hero has shown us the New Hero Pleasure today which comes with IBS (Integrated Braking System). IBS is basically Hero's version of Honda's Combi Brake system. By pressing the right-hand side brake lever, the front and the rear brakes will be activated.

The technology was developed by HMCL's (Hero Motocorp Limited) R&D department and the company has also applied for a patent. In the future, IBS will be offered as standard across Hero's scooter lineup.

Mechanically, there are no other changes apart from the IBS. The Pleasure continues with its air-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine which displaces 102cc. This engine produces a maximum of 6.74hp at 7,000rpm and 7.85Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. Transmission duties are carried out by a Variomatic drive.

Suspension is handled by a bottom-link spring-loaded hydraulic damper at the front and a swing arm with a similar spring-loaded damper at the rear.

The Pleasure comes with features such as a mobile-phone charging socket, lockable glovebox, a boot light in the luggage compartment and a side stand indicator. In a bid to appeal to more women riders, the new Pleasure gets a redone styling.

Hero's scooter lineup consists of the 110cc Maestro and the 100cc Pleasure. The company averages sales of 55,000 units every month of both scooters put together.
