Honda CBR250RR's power figure revealed ahead of launch

The CBR250RR is not planned for India currently. 

MoreBikes has gotten hold of a document which reveals the power figure and kerb weight of the Honda CBR250RR. According to the document, the Honda CBR250RR makes 36 bhp at 12,500 rpm, and has a respectable kerb weight of 168 kg. In comparison, the Kawasaki Ninja 250SL develops 28 bhp.

The Honda CBR250RR gets ABS only as an option.

Other details confirm that the Honda CBR250RR will come with a tank capacity of 14.5 litres, maximum torque of 22.5 Nm at 10,500 rpm and a 12V battery. According to the report, the CBR250RR will have a top-speed of 168 km/h. Honda will also launch a range of clothing and accessories to go with the new bike.

Powering the Honda CBR250RR, is a newly developed 249.7 cc PGM-FI liquid-cooled straight-twin engine that sends drive via a 6-speed transmission. The engine is operated by a Throttle-by-Wire (TBW) system that offers three selectable modes. Stopping power comes from 310 mm (front) and 240 mm (rear) disc brakes with optional ABS (both front and rear).

The Honda CBR250RR is powered by a newly developed 249.7 cc PGM-FI liquid-cooled straight-twin engine.

According to a report, the Honda CBR250RR will not launch in the Indian market, at least in the foreseeable future. However, the Honda Africa Twin will be introduced in the country by mid-2017 as a CBU offering.
