The tenth-generation model will be 130 mm longer, 30 mm wider and 20 mm lower compared to the current generation, and its the wheels are made larger, and the tyres wider. The exterior is characterised by LED head lamps and LED DRLs that 'flow from beneath the boldly sculpted bonnet into accentuated wheel arches', swept-back body lines and lower character lines along the side profile, distinctive C-shaped LED tail lamps, and a rear bumper that features angular creases and vents.

The Civic hatchback will be powered by a range of three powertrains: 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO petrol engines, and a revised 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel unit. The Civic will be the first European model to feature the two petrol engines.
