Honda Lightweight Supersports Concept, Honda 400X, Honda RC213V-S - 2015 Tokyo Live

Honda has unveiled the Lightweight Supersports Concept, the new 400X and presented the RC213V-S at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

Honda Lightweight Supersports Concept

The Lightweight Superports Concept previews the upcoming Honda CBR250RR which is a more aggressive alternative to the existing Honda CBR250R. While the latter is reckoned as a sports tourer, the 250RR will be more of a track-bred model, calling the Yamaha R25 for a competition in design and performance.

The powertrain details are not released, but the twin exhaust outlet indicates that the concept model hides a twin-cylinder engine. Expect the Honda CBR250RR to break cover next year and launch in Indonesia in the first half of the year.

2016 Honda 400X

Featuring a revision in styling and equipment, the 2016 Honda 400X (also known as the Honda 500X in the UK) follows the company’s “Crossover Concept” formula, with a blend of on-road and off-road qualities, and also takes inspiration from the brand's “FEEL THE ADVENTURE FORM” concept.

It receives a more agile character with new LED head- and taillamps, a larger windshield (taller by 100 mm), revised front fork with preload adjusters, a new brake lever for enhanced ergonomics, and a new gear shift mechanism for improved shift quality. The upgraded 400X also gets revised chassis and powertrain.

Honda RC213V-S

The Honda RC213V-S is the tamed-down and road-legal version of the Honda RC213V Moto GP machine which claimed consecutive championships in 2013 and 2014 courtesy of Marc Marquez. The model was announced for a limited sale in June, for 20 million yen (INR 1.07 crore).
