The Renault Kaptur will have its South American debut at the 2016 Sao Paulo International Motor Show this November. According to the Brazilian publication, the Renault Kaptur will be launched in Brazil in H1 2017 and be sold with 1.6- and 2.0-litre (Flex) engines. The smaller engine will be introduced in H2 2017 and come only in the 2WD model, whereas the 2.0-litre engine will be available in 2WD and 4WD.

However, official images show that Renault will be offering a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission. Noteworthy features include 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, MEDIA NAV infotainment system with a 7-inch display and Bluetooth connectivity, Remote Engine Start system, heated front seats and a heated windshield.

The Renault Kaptur will go on sale in Russia in Summer 2016 (June-August 2016) and be manufactured at the company’s Moscow plant, from where it will likely be exported to other nations of the Eurasian Economic Union: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Russian reports suggest.

The Brazilian launch will be followed by the Indian launch in October 2017. As for Europe, Renault has confirmed there are no plans to sell the Kaptur there.
