Lada Vesta will be sold in 22 Russian cities initially, spec sheet leaks - Report

According to Russian publication AvtoSreda, the Lada Vesta will be launched in three stages across Russia. From November-December 2015, Lada will start selling the Vesta in 22 cities initially. The list will expand to 65 cities from January-February 2016, followed by all Russian cities from March 2016.

The series production of the Lada Vesta will begin on September 25.

The site has also listed the cities where the Lada Vesta will be initially sold, which include Volgograd, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kazan, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Novocheboksarsk, Omsk, Perm, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Simferopol, Stavropol, Tolyatti, Tyumen, Ufa and Chelyabinsk.

The specification sheet of the upcoming Lada Vesta has also leaked, detailing the trim levels and equipment available. The car measures 4417 mm long, 1764 mm wide and 1497 mm tall, and comes with optional 16-inch wheels.

It will launch in three trim levels: Classic, Comfort and Luxe, and is offered with a wide array of features, which include a 7-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity, FM/AM, USB and AUX ports, steering mounted controls, heated front seats, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, automatic headlights, and automatic wipers.

The Lada Vesta will be available in three trim levels: Classic, Comfort and Luxe, and is offered with a wide array of features.

Safety features comprise of dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, BA (Brake Assist), Hill Start Assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Traction Control System (TCS).

Under the hood, the Lada Vesta will pack a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter petrol engine available in 8 valve and 16 valve configurations, which produces 87 hp and 106 hp, respectively. The transmission options available are a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT unit (on the 16-valve engine variant only)

A more-powerful 1.6-liter 16-valve unit (code - H4M), sourced from Nissan, delivers 114 bhp through a 5-speed manual gearbox. It doesn't get an automatic option.

The top speed of all variants available initially are limited to 178 km/h, while 0-100 km/h takes 11.8 - 12.8 seconds depending on the variant.

The 106 hp 1.6-liter 16-valve engine will be offered with a 5-speed AMT.

The series production of the Lada Vesta will begin on September 25, and the sedan will launch in the country in November 2015, priced between 500,000 - 550,000 rubles.
