Tata Harrier with dual-tone colour and H5X decals spotted at a dealer [Video]
The Tata Harrier was launched in January 2019 and has been quick to establish a reasonably strong foothold in the market (monthly sales average from Jan-March 2019 - 1,454 units). Dealerships are known to be offering various customisation options for the C-SUV. Here's a video of one such modified example, which seems to have been customised on the lines of the Tata Nexon Kraz.
The highlights of this Tata Harrier include its dual-tone paint scheme with Ariel Grey base paint and a black finish on the pillars and on the roof, dual-tone door handles and alloy wheels, red accents on the radiator grille, red hexagon decals on the rear doors and bold H5X decals on the front doors.
So far, the Tata Harrier has been available in five colour options - Calisto Copper, Ariel Silver, Orcus White, Telesto Grey and Thermisto Gold. Last month, a price list from a dealership even listed out an 'Atlas Black' paint option, but the official website is yet to reflect the same.
The Tata Harrier is powered by an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre Multijet II turbo-diesel engine that has been christened 'Kryotec.' The oil-burner employs an electronically controlled Variable Geometry Turbocharger (eVGT) and produces a maximum power of 140 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. That said, a spy image has hinted at an impending launch of an automatic transmission option. The Harrier is slated to receive a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed automatic gearbox.
The Tata Harrier measures 4,598 mm in length, 1,894 mm in width, and 1,706 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,741 mm, a ground clearance of 205 mm and a boot space of 425 litres with both the rows of seats in place. The luggage capacity can be boosted to 810-litres by folding the rear seats.
