Will get the i3S technology for increased fuel efficiency.

Hero Motocorp has announced a press conference for September 26, which, Indian Autos Blog can confirm, will mark the launch of the all-new Hero Achiever 150. The new Hero Achiever is one of three models Hero will launch this festive season, the others being the new Hero Super Splendor and the new Hero Passion Pro.

The new Hero Achiever will get a new Hero-developed engine with the i3S start-stop technology.

The highlight of the new Hero Achiever will be an all-new single-cylinder air-cooled engine developed by Hero Motocorp. The outgoing Achiever was powered by a Honda-borrowed 149.2 cc engine making 13.4 bhp and 12.8 Nm of torque. It was paired to a 5-speed gearbox.

Aside from the new engine, the new Hero Achiever will also get Hero's i3S automatic start-stop system, which automatically shuts off the engine when idle. Especially at traffic lights and slow-moving traffic conditions, this system is expected to improve the fuel consumption even further.

The Hero Splendor iSmart 110 marked the launch of Hero's new self-developed engine family, which will slowly be rolled out across other models.
