Next-gen 2017 Renault Megane R.S.' rear fascia leaked

With the new generation Renault Megane in the market for over a year, it's time the all-new Renault Megane R.S. arrived. In the latest, the next-gen Renault Megane R.S.' rear has leaked in an image that surfaced online last week.

The next-gen Renault Megane R.S. will sport a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine tuned to produce more than 300 bhp.

Compared to the new Renault Megane, the 2017 Renault Megane R.S. gets a different rear spoiler, tweaked bumper with vertical air inlets, prominent diffuser and a centrally-mounted exhaust. The image also gives a glimpse of the RS alloy wheels shod with low-profile tyres is also seen. A previously released official teaser revealed exclusive LED daytime running lights on the front.

The 2017 Renault Megane R.S. will sport a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that will produce more than 300 bhp. Along with a 6-speed manual transmission, the redesigned Megane R.S. will likely have an option for a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission to appeal customers in markets like Japan and Australia. Additionally, it will feature four-wheel steering.

Like the standard Renault Megane, the all-new Renault Megane R.S. won't have a 3-door version.

The 2017 Renault Megane R.S. is expected to debut on 26 May 2017 and should go on sale in Europe in the second half of the year. Like the standard variant, the R.S. variant too won't have a 3-door version this time.
