Confirmed to launch in 2016.
Tata Motors is currently working on a replacement for the Tata Aria, which was previewed to the public with the Tata Hexa concept at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. IAB reader Gautam has now caught a camouflaged prototype of the Tata Hexa in Pune.
Although the prototype is fully covered up, Autocar India had managed to review a pre-production Tata Hexa, revealing the exterior, interior, powertrain and comforts in store. It measures 4,764 mm long, 1,895 mm wide, 1,780 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.
The Tata Hexa will be equipped with ESP (electronic stability program), projector headlamps with auto function, taillamps with LED position lamps, large alloy wheels, 6-seat configuration with captain seats, leather upholstery with twin-needle stitching, mood lighting and 6 airbags.

It is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, while a GM-sourced 6-speed automatic is reported as the alternative. The Hexa will also feature a 4WD system with a Drive Mode selector.
