Production Tata Altroz new teaser leaked [Video]
The Tata Altroz is probably just weeks away from its launch. A teaser video that was supposed to be released at the time of pre-bookings commencement or later on has leaked online, giving a peek inside its cabin and revealing the features that have made it to the production version.
As seen in the video above, the production Tata Altroz will have the same interior design as that of the near-production concept (Tata Altroz Geneva Edition). What's different, though, is the ambient lighting which is visible around the centre console; there is an ‘Ambient Lighting’ icon present during the close-up shot of the touchcreen. At the moment, it remains to be seen if ambient lighting is configurable. Another interesting detail highlighted in the video is the Google Assistant logo which hints at app-based and Google-powered voice-activated functionality in the car. Other equipment highlights will include semi-digital instrument cluster and cruise control.
Like the Tata Harrier, the Tata Altroz embodies the IMPACT Design 2.0 philosophy, but it's based on an in-house developed 'Advanced Modular Platform (Alfa-Arc)', which will underpin all future sub-4 metre Tata models. Reports say that the Altroz will be offered with three engine options – the 85 PS 1.2-litre petrol unit of the Tiago, a 102 PS version of the Nexon's 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol unit and a 90 PS version of the Nexon's 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel unit. A 5-speed manual transmission will be standard, although a DCT option could follow.

The Tata Altroz will rival the likes of Maruti Baleno, Hyundai Jazz and Honda Jazz. It will replace the slow-selling Tata Bolt in the B-segment.
