Renault announced the Renault Captur for India, confirming that the car will be unveiled on 21 September (tomorrow). According to a report from carandbike, bookings will open on 22 September (Friday).

In India, Renault should offer the Captur with the Duster’s 106 PS 1.5-litre H4K petrol and 110 PS 1.5-litre K9K diesel engines.

The Renault Captur, originally introduced as Renault Kaptur, is based on the Renault Duster’s B0/Logan platform. A 4WD option is likely at the top of the range. However, Renault may introduce it at a later stage like it did in the Duster.

The Indian-spec Renault Captur’s will debut Pure Vision full-LED headlights and dynamic turn signals for the brand in India. Its key exterior features will include C-shaped LED DRLs, 17-inch alloy wheels, tail lamps with LED light guides and two-tone paint scheme also. Inside, the premium compact SUV should have automatic climate control, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and body colour highlights on the air vents and centre console, cruise control. ABS, EBD, BA and four airbags are among the expected safety features.
