India-bound Renault Captur (Kaptur) gets dual-tone dashboard in Brazil
Will go on sale in Brazil this December.
Autos Segredos has photographed the Brazil-spec Renault Captur (Kaptur) inside and out, revealing a dual-tone white and black dashboard. The model, currently exclusive to Russia, today comes with an all-black dashboard.
Most of the styling and switchgear in the Duster-based Renault Kaptur look similar to the Clio-based Euro-spec Renault Captur. However, the Renault Kaptur features a slightly different steering wheel, and MEDIA NAV infotainment system in place of the Euro-spec Renault Captur’s R-Link infotainment system.
In Brazil, the Captur will be powered by a 1.6-litre flex-fuel engine that produces 114 cv (114 hp) and 15.5 kgf.m (152.00 Nm) of torque, although there's no option of AWD. Other South American markets will pack a bigger 2.0-litre engine linked to a 4-speed automatic transmission, while the Brazilian Captur will get this engine later, but with a CVT.

The Indian launch of the Renault Captur is reported to take place in October 2017. It has already been imported for local testing, and right from launch, is expected to be manufactured alongside the Renault Duster at the Renault-Nissan Alliance plant in Oragadam near Chennai.
