Renault Duster Oroch (Duster pick-up) launched in Brazil at R$ 62,290 - IAB Report
Comes in three variants: Expression 1.6, Dynamique 1.6 and Dynamique 2.0.
Renault has launched their first-ever pick-up truck, the Renault Duster Oroch, in Brazil, following its reveal at the 2015 Buenos Aires Motor Show. It is priced from R$ 62,290 (INR 10.18 Lakhs).
The front-end of the Duster Oroch is identical to the Renault Duster SUV, save for the ‘Duster’ nameplate underneath the single slat grille.
The Duster Oroch is 4.7 m long, 1.8 m wide and 1.69 m high. The rear end has been extended to accommodate a pickup bed, which is 1,175 mm wide and 1,350 mm long, and has a capacity of 683 liters. It also gets larger taillamps, black plastic arch extensions, and a tonneau cover for the bed.
The interior design is identical to the Renault Duster. In the base trim, it comes with dual airbags, ABS, power steering, air conditioning, 16-inch alloys, power windows, CD MP3 radio with four speakers, etc. Higher up the range, equipment such as a 7 inch Media NAV Evolution infotainment system, fog lights, cruise control, power mirrors, parking sensors, and leather-wrapped steering wheel are added to the mix.
The Renault Duster Oroch will be powered by a 1.6 or 2.0-liter four cylinder engines sourced from the Duster. The 1.6-liter flex fuel engine produces 110 hp (115 hp with ethanol) and is paired to a 5-speed manual, while the 2.0-liter flex fuel unit delivers 143 hp (148 hp with ethanol) and 177.5 Nm of torque through a 6-speed manual and an automatic gearbox (will be offered later). Other than the standard 4×2 drive system, Renault will also offer an optional 4×4 system.
