Renault introduces Easy-R AMT on select Dacia models - IAB Report
Comes with an ECO mode and a stop-start system.
Renault has introduced the Easy-R AMT system on some of the Dacia cars. The AMT unit is offered only on the TCe 90 turbo petrol engine on the Dacia Logan MCV, Dacia Sandero and the Dacia Stepway.
They are priced at EUR 12,000 (INR 8.43 lakhs) for the Sandero, EUR 13,200 (INR 9.28 lakhs) for the Stepway, EUR 13,000 (INR 9.13 lakhs) for the Logan MCV Laureate, and EUR 14,000 (INR 9.84 lakhs) for the Logan MCV Prestige. The price difference compared to their respective and equivalent manual versions is around EUR 600 (INR 42,000).
The Easy-R AMT uses an electromechanical actuation system instead of a hydraulic unit for “enhanced flexibility and swifter response”, according to the company. The system offers a manual mode and an ECO mode, and has a stop-start system. The combined mileage of the AMT-equipped Dacia models are said to range between 19.60 and 20.40 km/l, and the CO2 emission is said to be 110-114 g/km. The company says that the Easy-R transmission underwent 130,000 hours of bench testing and 120,000 km of road testing.
