Will likely be a 7-seater SUV.

The Renault Koleos successor (name not confirmed) is expected to be revealed early next year, possibly at the Geneva Motor Show. Prior to that French website Automobilist has rendered the upcoming SUV.

The front fascia borrows several design cues from the Talisman.

The new vehicle will be based on the Renault-Nissan alliance’s CMF-CD platform and will mostly be bigger than its predecessor with an expected length ranging from 4.65 to 4.70 meters. There are reports that it will be a 7-seater but so far nothing has been confirmed by the company.

From the rendering, one can make out that the new Koleos’s face borrows heavily from the Kadjar or the new Talisman. The large grille with the centrally-placed 'lozenge' and C-shaped LED DRLs are all among the elements that have been seen in recent models. The rendering shows the sides getting muscular wheel arches with the rear receiving slim LED taillights and a roof mounted spoiler.

The SUV will be longer than its predecessor and probably have space to seat seven occupants.

The interior has not been snapped yet but will mostly follow the design of modern Renault products with better quality of fit and finish.

Under the hood, turbocharged four-cylinder engines are probable with a 1.6-liter dCi engine producing 160 hp to be included among them. Transmission choices will mostly be a 6-speed manual or an EDC dual-clutch automatic gearbox delivering power through the front wheels or optional all-wheel drive system.
