Renault Koleos successor spotted in Frankfurt – Spied
Dimensions will be similar to Nissan X-Trail.
Renault is developing a successor to the Renault Koleos, which has been spotted testing in Frankfurt, Germany, and snapped by Facebook user, Christian Omat.
The front end of the Koleos successor shares many styling cues from the Renault Talisman premium sedan, as seen in the LED DRLs,slender-looking headlights that flow into a wide three-slat grille housing the Renault lozenge in the middle. The rear end gets sleek LED taillights, shark-fin antenna and a tailgate-mounted spoiler.
The SUV is based on Nissan’s CMF-CD platform which also underpins the Nissan X-Trail. Like its Nissan counterpart, the Renault could offer a 5+2 seating layout for the Koleos successor for larger families.

Power for the SUV is likely to come from a range of 1.6-liter turbo petrol and diesel engines. The petrol unit is reported to produce around 163 bhp while the diesel variant will be offered in two tunes: 130 bhp and 160 bhp. Transmission options are likely to be a 6-speed manual and an EDC dual-clutch autobox.
The successor to the Renault Koleos is expected to make its debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Given that the 2015 Nissan X-Trail is making an entry into India, Renault could also consider launching the new SUV to replace the aging Koleos in India.
