Will enter production in Brazil in September 2016.

The Renault Kwid is being tested in Brazil for market launch later this year, as seen in spyshots. According to a report from NoticiasAutomotivas, the South American-spec Renault Kwid will be showcased at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show that will be held in November. When launched, the Renault Kwid will replace the aging Renault Clio and be priced from around R$ 30,000.

The Brazilian-spec Renault Kwid will feature a 1.0-litre flex-fuel engine.

The Renault Kwid will be sold in Brazil with a 1.0-litre SCe three cylinder flex-fuel engine capable of running on petrol and ethanol. 5-speed manual transmission will be standard, but the Easy-R automated manual transmission may be offered in the upper trim levels. The Renault Kwid with the 1.0-litre SCe petrol engine and Easy-R transmission showcased at Auto Expo 2016 will become available in India later this year.

The Brazilian-spec Renault Kwid has differently styled door moldings, larger door mirrors and reportedly better interior quality. Leaked patent images suggest a few more differences: body-coloured rear bumper and door handles and chrome foglamp enclosures.

The interior quality will be better than that of the Renault Kwid sold in India.
