India-spec Renault Lodgy features and specifications announced - IAB Report
7- and 8-seater variants will launch.
Renault India has announced features and technical specifications of the Renault Lodgy which will launch in the coming weeks.
The VGT-equipped 1,461 cc diesel engine comes in two output states - 110 PS & 245 Nm and 85 PS & 200 Nm. The former is paired to a six-speed manual transmission, while the latter makes do with a five-speed unit. The 85 PS car delivers an ARAI-certified mileage of 21.04 km/l, while the 110 PS car delivers 19.98 km/l. An automatic transmission or a petrol variant is not available.
The top-end Lodgy, like the Duster, gets the Bluetooth and USB enabled MEDIANAV system that serves entertainment, navigation and communication functions.
The seats are upholstered with Fume & Beige Alpaga leather (and normal fabric in the 8-seater), while the car comes with cruise control and speed limiter, dual AC with 2nd and 3rd row vents, reverse parking sensors, reverse camera, and dual front airbags with ABS, EBD and Brake Assist.
The Lodgy will launch in 7- and 8-seat options, measuring 4,498 mm long, 1,751 mm wide, 1,697 mm tall with a wheelbase spanning 2,810 mm. Its kerb weight is 1,368 kg, and the Duster-based MPV is hoisted on 185/65 R15 tires.
The boot volume is 275 liters when all the seats are in place, and expands to 1,861 liters when the third row is removed and the second row is tumbled. The fuel tank holds 50 liters.
The front suspension is a McPherson strut with coil spring and anti-rollbar, while the rear is a torsion beam axle with coil spring and shock absorber and anti-rollbar.
The company has not divulged variant-wise specifications or given a hint on the pricing, but we expect the Honda Mobilio rival to come in RxE, RxL and RxZ variants, between INR 7-10 lakhs, ex-showroom.
The company did not give a direct answer to the Stepway variant's launch, though it was reported earlier that it would be introduced at the same time.
