Renault Sandero RS hot hatch to launch in Brazil this year - Rendering
Likely to use a 2-litre petrol engine.
The Renault Sandero, according to reports, will receive a sportier RS version in Brazil this year. Autos Segredos has published a new rendering of the car, and the report throws some light on other technical details as well.
The vehicle will be fettled by Renault Sport, will have 'RS' letters in its moniker, and will be powered by a 2-litre petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, mentions the report. It continues that the vehicle could launch in the first half of this year.
In terms of looks, the new rendering looks more aggressive than the one published earlier. The car gets a body kit all around, which includes new bumpers and a side skirt. The front and rear bumpers carry a tri-tone paint scheme, with the body colour, grey accents, and the black grille. Also, the honeycomb grille up front gets a black stripe running above it. At the rear, the twin end can protrudes out from the left while the lower part of the bumper gets a grey treatment.

The report mentions that the vehicle will come with 17-inch 'black' wheels, shod with low-profile tyres. As for mechanicals, the engine is expected to be a 2-litre 16v petrol engine that's found in the Duster in markets like Brazil. The said engine makes 136 hp (at 5,750 rpm) when run on petrol and 140 hp when run on Ethanol. Expect a more performance oriented state of tune when it's placed in the Sandero RS's engine bay.
