Renault Triber vs Datsun GO+: Design, specs, features & pricing compared
The Datsun GO+ was quite a revolutionary vehicle in itself – before this MPV, no other manufacturer dared to make a sub-four-metre passenger MPV for seven passengers. Sadly, however, things didn't work well for the GO+, which was mostly due to its unattractive design and a built-to-cost interior. While the facelifted model came across as a slightly improved offering, it continues to stay off the wishlist of the car buyers.
While many manufacturers didn’t see much potential in the sub-four-meter MPV segment, Renault is finally ready to come up with its offering for this segment in the form of the Triber. Going by the first impression, the Renault Triber is all set to redefine the segment with its more premium and rugged appeal in and out. Following is our Renault Triber vs Datsun GO to help you find out how these two offerings stack up against each other.
Renault Triber vs Datsun GO+: Design Comparison
The exterior design does create the very first impression about the car, and in this case, the Renault Triber generates a rather stronger one. Compared to the simple and sober Datsun GO+, which is more inclined towards a mature set of buyers, the Renault Triber looks youthful with its more modern avatar. Design elements like silver skid plates at both front and rear, side body cladding, bigger 15-inch wheels, big roof rails, squared bonnet design and higher ground clearance of 182mm do make one feel that the Renault Triber has the promised SUV character in it.
Even on the inside, the Renault Triber has got an edge over the Datsun GO+, thanks to more innovatively styled and more modern looking dashboard design and overall interior layout. Both the vehicles come with a seating configuration of 5+2, with three rows of seats. However, it is inside the Renault Triber that one can find more seating arrangements and flexibility options.
The Datsun GO+ comes with a much more conventional approach when it comes to the design of the dashboard, with the hexagonal theme for the center console reducing the plain appeal of the cabin. On the contrary, the Renault Triber features a very radical design for the dashboard, with silver accents and trapezoidal AC vents giving it a more premium appeal. The bulging out hump below the center console, which houses the push start stop button, looks quite innovative. Even the aircon controls in the Renault Triber look and feel better to use, as compared to the flimsy levers in the Datsun GO+.

While both the cars are blessed with daytime running LEDs on their front-end, the Triber additionally benefits from projector headlamps. However, the Datsun Go+ has got more stylish looking set of machined alloy wheels as compared to rather simple silver-painted ones of the Renault Triber.
