Tata Bolt with body kit, sporty interior spotted at dealership - Spied

The car will be launched tomorrow.

It looks like Tata Bolt, which will launch tomorrow, will benefit from an optional body kit and sporty-looking interior. Two such kitted-up cars have been spotted at dealerships by BharathAutos.

The body kit on the Bolt spotted includes front and rear bumper extensions, and side skirts.

The body kits appear to comprise of bumper extensions both at front and rear, side skirts, and an added spoiler with proper recess for a high-mounted light, suggesting that it's not an aftermarket product but one that's made according to the car's design specification.

Also, one of the cars has red accents on front and rear seats. Apart from this, the showroom test vehicles and another car (without the body kit) is seen with regular upholstery, but with silver accents and moire. If you recall, the earlier preview cars sported an orange dashboard, too, but these cars spotted at dealerships have a standard black dashboard. Also, projector headlamps and alloy wheels make it to the car, which means it was likely to be the top-end variant.

To recap, the Tata Bolt is based on a re-engineered version of the Tata Vista platform. It will be available in petrol and diesel guises, with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol 'Revotron' engine doing duty in the former while a Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre Multijet engine is working on the latter.

Power and torque figures for the diesel are 74 hp and 190 Nm, while the petrol is slightly more powerful at 89 hp but less torquey at 140 Nm. Both the engines will get a 5-speed gearbox, while an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) might be available at a later stage.

Final prices and trim levels would be announced tomorrow, but the top-end variants will get smoked clusters with projector headlamps, alloy wheels, electrically adjustable rear view mirrors, and fog lamps.

The red accents on the seats were not present on other Bolts, not even on the one that IAB reviewed.

On the inside, the higher variants will get a multifunction steering wheel, an 8-speaker touchscreen based infotainment unit with voice recognition and MapMyIndia GPS navigation, and automatic climate control.

On the safety front, ABS and dual airbags will be available. The Bolt's brochure scans can also be found in the gallery below, and while it doesn't offer any information about the trim levels, it gives away the feature list and engine specifications.
