Render - Sub-4m Tata Falcon sedan
To battle its rapidly falling sales and diminishing market share, Tata Motors will bring out two new models in 2014. Codenamed Falcon as of now, the series is a sub-4meter compact sedan and a hatchback.
While the hatchback will be a complete refresh of the current Indica Vista, called the Falcon 4 for now, (shots of the test mule) Cartoq reveals how the second model, the sub-4meter compact sedan, codenamed the Falcon 5, could look.
To be launched later this year, the Falcon 5 will be positioned between the Indigo CS and the Tata Manza. Tata will also feature a new range of engines in these two vehicles, and it is set to unveil them on 20th January in Mumbai.
Going by the spyshots so far, the Falcon 4 will get redesigned headlights, new bumper with triangular airdams, and a new grille inspired by the Manza Hybrid concept. The rear is also set to change and so is the interior, with what looks like a steering wheel inspired by the Hyundai i20.
We expect both models to be showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in February set to take place in Noida.
