Tata Harrier gets sunroof as an official accessory at INR 95,000

The Tata Harrier was devoid of a sunroof when it was launched in the market in January. However, six months down the line, it has received this feature as a part of the optional accessories, reports RushLane. A Tata Harrier equipped with sunroof was spied in the country a few days ago.

The sunroof has been launched as an official accessory in the Tata Harrier and it is priced at INR 95,066. Labour charges are additional.

There is no denying that the Indian market is obsessed over features, and with competitors like Kia Seltos and MG Hector in the sight, Tata Motors had to start offering a sunroof in the Harrier at some point. Like in the Nexon, it has started offering this feature as an optional accessory in the Harrier, meaning that existing customers can get this feature. However, the cost is way higher in the C-SUV - INR 95,066. Installation/labour charges are additional. The sunroof has a warranty period of 2 years, starting from the date of installation.

Tata Motors recently rolled out an update for the Harrier for various improvements. These included NVH tuning for improved sound insulation, new R10.X Software update for the Floating Island infotainment system, steering tuning for improved feedback and clutch adjustment for optimal response. The company has been providing these updates for free during the service of the vehicle.

The Tata Harrier reached the 10,000 sales milestone this month and it would be interesting to see if it can maintain the same momentum during the H2 of 2019. The MG Hector is already sold-out for 2019 with 21,000 bookings in just 45 days. Kia recently announced that it received over 6,000 pre-bookings for the Seltos in just 1 day, which might be a concern for the Harrier.

The sunroof has a warranty period of 2 years, starting from the time of installation.
