Tata Hexa expected to launch around October - Report

The launch could be further delayed though.

Autocar India reports that the Tata Hexa is expected to launch in around October, although it could be further delayed. Apparently, Tata is still conducting a few final quality checks on the car.

The Hexa measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm.

The Hexa is the long-time replacement of the Tata Aria, and will serve as Tata's newest flagship in India. The exterior comprises of black plastic cladding and side sills, projector headlamps, signature LED DRLs and dual exhaust tailpipes.

As far as equipment list is concerned, the Hexa will be the most feature-packed Tata product when launched. It comes with an ESP (electronic stability program), diamond-cut alloy wheels, optional 6-seat configuration with captain seats, Harman touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery with twin-needle stitching, mood lighting and 6 airbags.

As far as equipment list is concerned, the Hexa will be the most feature-packed Tata product when launched.

Under the hood will be a 2.2L VARICOR turbodiesel engine capable of producing 156.2 hp and 400 Nm of torque. It will be paired to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, and an AWD system will be offered in top-end grade. A first for a Tata product is the terrain mode selector inspired by Land Rover's 'Terrain Response' system.
