The Hexa was unveiled in production form at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. It will replace the Tata Aria when launched, and serve as Tata Motors’ flagship product in the lineup. It measures 4,764 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width and 1,780 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,850 mm. Compared to its predecessor, the Hexa adopts an evolutionary exterior that is supplemented with black plastic cladding and side sills that add a rugged look.

The Hexa will be the most feature-packed Tata ever; top-end models come equipped with ESP (electronic stability program), diamond-cut alloy wheels, 6-seat configuration with captain seats, Harman infotainment system, leather upholstery with twin-needle stitching, mood lighting and 6 airbags, making it the most feature packed product in their lineup.

The ban on diesel-powered vehicles (displacing over 2000 cc) in Delhi NCR as well as other cities in the future could force Tata to introduce a sub-2.0L diesel engine based on the current 2.2L VARICOR unit. It will be paired to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, and an AWD system is likely to be offered in top-end grades.
