Launch reportedly pushed to 2017.

A Tata Kite 5 diesel variant was spotted in Coimbatore by TAI member DJ_bro. From what the spotter claims, it appears that the mule has clocked 100,000 km since it hit the road.

TAI member DJ_bro saw a 5-inch Harman touchscreen system, automatic climate control, and an armrest for the rear bench seat on the mule.

The user has also managed to get a peak of the interior and reports that it looks identical to the press image Tata shared at its unveil in February. It features an all-black cabin with a design largely identical to the Tata Tiago. The Kite 5 will come equipped with a 5-inch Harman touchscreen system, automatic climate control, and an armrest for the rear bench seat.

The engine lineup will star the Tiago's  1.2-liter Revotron three-cylinder all-aluminium petrol engine and 1.05-liter Revotorq three-cylinder diesel engine. It can be had with a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automated manual transmission at launch.

The launch, which was scheduled for the festive season, is pushed to 2017 as Tata Motors is reportedly conducting various assessments to minimise cost of parts without compromising quality. The company is especially keen on getting the price right with the Kite 5 and other future products.
