Tata Motors to introduce IMPACT Design 2.0 design language at Auto Expo 2018
In 2016, Tata Motors introduced its new IMPACT design language with the Tata Zica, which it launched as the Tata Tiago later that year. At Auto Expo 2018 next month, the company will introduce IMPACT Design 2.0 design language.
The new version of the IMPACT design philosophy will debut in a passenger vehicle, but Tata Motors has not revealed in which model. The company is working on several new models. One is a production Maruti Baleno rival that will arrive next year. Codenamed Tata X451, the new supermini will debut the brand’s new Advanced Modular Platform (AMP). Reports say that this small hatchback will replace the slow-selling Tata Bolt.
Among other future products, Tata Motors is also readying a new flagship SUV codenamed Tata Q501. Riding on the same platform as the Land Rover Discovery Sport, the new SUV will likely compete with the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson and Honda CR-V. Tata Motors will offer it in 5- and 7-seat seating layouts.

Along with the two entirely new models, Tata Motors is also readying the Tata Tiago Sport performance hatchback. The Tiago Sport will employ the Tata Nexon’s 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission. The turbocharged three-cylinder unit produces 110 PS at 5,000 rpm and 170 Nm of torque from 1,750-4,000 rpm. The Tata Tiago Sport is expected to debut at Auto Expo 2018.
