Tata Nano GenX (facelift) comes with 'EasyShift' technology - IAB Report
Design similar to the Nano concepts showcased at Auto Expo 2014.
Here are the first pictures of the Tata Nano GenX, sent to Indian Autos Blog by reader Mr. Ram, ahead of the car's launch expected to unfold in May.
As previewed by the Nano F-Tronic and Active concepts at the Auto Expo last year, the Nano GenX gets the new front bumper with the 'smiley' airdam and circular foglight enclosures. The grille, which Tata Motors calls as the 'Infinity grille' gets a black insert, while the headlights get a smoked effect a la Tata Bolt.
Over to the sides, the Nano GenX wears new wheel covers, though we suspect Tata will also offer new alloy wheel designs. Towards the rear, a new bumper and a tailgate spoiler are the cosmetic changes. The major change though is the functional bootlid, a first on the Nano, that improves the functionality of the city car.
Inside, the small car will now get Tata's 'signature' steering wheel which is a 3-spoke unit similar to the one seen on the Bolt and Zest, but without integrated controls for the music system.
The Nano GenX will be offered in colors of Damson Purple, Sangria Red (all-new), Royal Gold, Dazzle Blue, Pearl White, Meteor Silver and Persian Rose.
