Spied - Tata Nano Twist XT caught undisguised sporting all new instrument cluster
Tata Motors will launch the Nano Twist on January 13th. As our regular readers may be aware, the Nano Twist is the power steering equipped version of the small car, and the images you see here, show what it looks like.
On the outside, the Nano Twist looks exactly like the 2013 model year Nano save for a few badges. On the rear left-hand side of the Nano, one can see the 'Twist' badging, while the rear right side reveals the 'XT' badging (the name of the top-end trim).
Seen here is a new body color which Tata will refer to as "Damson Purple". It remains to be seen whether the new color is extended towards the non-power steering variants as well.
On the inside, the Nano Twist comes with an all-new instrument cluster. The font style for the speedometer is new, and the fuel and temperature gauges are located on either side of the speedo. However, the most interesting bit here is that the two gauges are LED units. The digital trip meter along with a clock is also repositioned and the overall appearance of the instrument cluster looks fresh compared to the 2013 model.
Tata will launch the Nano Twist in two variants - XC and XT. As we have mentioned earlier, the electric power steering for the Nano was developed by ZF, and according to sources, Tata will price the Nano Twist about INR 15,000 more than the regular Nano.
