To arrive in showrooms in the second half of 2017.

The pre-production Tata Nexon prototype appears to be finished in a Berry Red exterior colour.

The Nexon spotted seems to be the top-end variant as it features projector headlights, a ceramic side finisher, contrast roof, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights and LED daytime running lights, foglamps and gloss black finish for the wide grille. The design is influenced by Tata’s IMPACT design language, the idea of the company's design chief, Pratap Bose.

The X1 platform based crossover will be available in petrol and diesel variants. The latter is confirmed to pack a new 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine producing 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or an AMT. The petrol variant is rumored to feature the turbocharged version of Tiago’s 1.2-liter three-cylinder Revotron petrol unit. Like the Hexa, top variants of Nexon will come equipped with the 'Super Drive Modes' selector.
