Tata Nexon to launch this year before Tata Kite 5 - Report

Could launch during the festive season.

A new reports suggests that the Tata Nexon will launch before the Tata Kite 5 sedan this year. Both vehicles were shown in production ready forms at the Auto Expo 2016 this month.

Tata revealed the production-spec Tata Nexon at the Auto Expo 2016, which draws heavy influence from Nexon concept unveiled two years ago. It will be available with a suite of customization options from Tata’s Personalization Studio, when launched. The Nexon is expected to measure 3,995 mm long, ride on 16-inch alloy wheels and sports a ground clearance of 200 mm.

The Nexon features projector headlights, a ceramic side finisher, contrast roof, LED taillights and LED daytime running lights in addition to a piano-black grille element.

The engine lineup will include a turbocharged Revotron 1.2-liter petrol engine or an all new 1.5-liter diesel engine that outputs 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. A new 6-speed manual gearbox will drive the front wheels of the Nexon and three driving modes will be available on the compact SUV.
